1. Who we are

MenuMate is a web service for restaurant and café menus and table ordering, run from Tunisia. You can reach us at contact@menumate.net or +216 50 101 959.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password when you sign up. Passwords are stored by our login provider in hashed form; we never see them.
• Restaurant details you enter: name, address, phone, opening hours, logo, photos, menu, prices and table numbers.
• Orders: the dishes ordered, the table, the time and the order status. If a guest adds a name, phone number, email or note, we keep it with the order so the restaurant can see it.
• Messages: what you send through the contact form, and your email if you join the newsletter.
• Usage data: pages visited, clicks, device and browser type and rough location, collected by our analytics tool to understand how the site is used and fix problems.

3. Why we use it

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

• To run MenuMate: show menus, send orders to the right restaurant and let staff follow them.
• To answer your messages and send the newsletter you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep the service safe and working, and to improve it.

4. Who helps us run the service

A few providers process data for us, only to provide their service:

• Supabase: database, login and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• PostHog: usage analytics, on servers in the European Union.
• Resend: sending emails.

5. Restaurants and their guests

When a guest orders at a restaurant that uses MenuMate, that restaurant decides what it asks for and uses the order to serve the guest. MenuMate stores and shows the order on its behalf. Guests can contact the restaurant or us about their data.

6. Cookies

• A language cookie, so the site opens in the language you chose.
• Login cookies, so you stay signed in to your dashboard.
• Analytics cookies and local storage from PostHog, to count visits and understand how the site is used.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account, restaurant and order data while the account is open. When you delete your account or ask us to, we delete it, except what we must keep by law. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by writing to contact@menumate.net. We reply within one month.

If you are in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL). In Tunisia, the authority is the INPDP.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we will also tell account holders by email.
